Mr. Duck Duck is our resident Rouen Duck. He was brought to us in the summer of 2012. A rancher’s dogs had found him as a little fledgling and torn out most of his feathers. Mr. Duck Duck was lucky enough to not sustain any permanent damage. He is now healthy and could fly if he chose to. It seems he enjoys the foundation so much that he wants to remain here and, being that he is not a native species, he could not be released into the wild. Tom – European Brown Bear

Tom is a male European Brown Bear (Ursus arctos arctos) born in February 2011. Due to Tom’s digestive problems and a crooked front leg, he will live out his life here at the Sanctuary where he will receive everything he needs to have a happy and healthy life. After observing one of our volunteers watering the trees, Tom’s latest trick is to scoop the fruit out of a melon, dip it in his water, and throw it on the trees (and sometimes guests!) outside his enclosure. BooBoo – European Brown Bear

BooBoo is a female European Brown Bear (Ursus arctos arctos). She appeared in the Bear Creek Pasta commercial with her sister. The sisters needed a home, and we were thrilled to be able to make them a part of our family. Her sister is now an ambassador in an educational program at another facility, while she remains a companion to Tom and as an ambassador for our wildlife sanctuary.
